
Keiko Tanabe , Japan/USA
Keiko Tanabe, born in Kyoto, Japan, earned a Communication degree from International Christian University in Tokyo and a Master’s in Education from UCLA. After working in international marketing, she launched her professional art career in 2005.
Largely self-taught, Keiko’s work has appeared in juried and invitational exhibitions worldwide and is held in private and corporate collections globally. Her paintings have been featured in major art publications across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
Since 2011, she has taught workshops and conducted live demonstrations internationally, focusing on helping students strengthen technique and develop personal style. She has served as a juror for many national and international shows and joined the American Watercolor Weekly advisory board in 2018.
Keiko has authored several books and released four instructional DVDs. She is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, American Watercolor Society, and American Impressionist Society, and holds Master Artist status with the San Diego Watercolor Society.
