Yang Jianyong is a distinguished artist, columnist, and curator, recognized for his contributions to the art world as a member of both the Shanghai Artists Association and the Shanghai Critics Association. He serves as the Director of the Hurun Art Club and is an expert for the Soong Ching Ling Children's Reading Room Project. His published works, Afternoon at Nanshufang and Walking Through an Art Museum, reflect his deep engagement with art and culture.

Yang has curated notable exhibitions such as The Theory of Art Capital, Letters Alive, and Lotus Appointment, showcasing his expertise in art curation. His solo exhibitions span prestigious venues across China, Japan, and Europe, including the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art in Japan, Liu Haisu Art Museum, and jHeCKenhauser Gallery in Munich.
